Heck yeah. The Whil Basic Training teaches you everything you need to know to start practicing. It also has lots of great added motivational support to help you every step of the way.
- Practice from the comfort and privacy of your home (where you can wear what makes you comfortable without witnesses.)
- Project it onto a big screen and practice together with co-worker, or fellow students.
- Practice at your desk on demand, to get the mind and body moving, when you are stuck inside (no Spandex required.)
Does the digital format work against the idea of yoga? It could...but it doesn’t have to. Most people would agree that the sheer volume digital chatter these days interferes with our peace of mind. But the tech itself is not the problem, it’s how we choose to use it. Our default is to stay online all the time, read every notification, and check our devices compulsively. What we sometimes forget is that we can re-balance this relationship at any time. Having a couple of “power-down” hours in the day is helpful. Try to wait a half hour before turning on your phone in the morning. Use this time for your practice. Then go ahead and check your email and your likes—it’s all good.
