If your phone buzzes or you hear a leaf blower outside, you can just incorporate that into your practice (and by that we mean ignore it). You might find the distraction frustrating. That’s okay—feel the frustration, watch it pass, and come back to the breath.
If the distraction continues, don’t fight it; give the disturbance your full attention, whether it’s a sound, a smell, or a touch. By making it your new point of focus, you make use of it and it ceases to become a disturbance.
If necessary, you can always pause your session with the play/pause button or rewind to go over parts that you have missed. The beauty of the Whil app is that sessions can be done at your own pace and convenience. So do whatever is best for you at that moment!
